Day of rest for the group

Today instead of working we had a day at the beach with many of the YWAM staff. It was great relaxing at the beach, swimming and snorkelling in the Carribbean, reading, playing volleyball, and we had a nice lunch. We purchased some souveniers and then headed back to Saint Marc and went to a local market for some snacks and then to a place to get some vanilla concentrate to bring home. We also went to the town square to see the Ten Commandments monument that the YWAM people gave the town in 2004.

Tonight was the worship service in the base, and we experienced a lively worship service and pray and a message. It was a meaningful experience.

After that our group met to see who is interested in staying until Friday or Saturday. Six people are interested in staying if the airline tickets can be changed. We all are doing well and having a powerful experience, but are OK with heading home soon. If some stay longer, it is likely they will be home on Saturday.

We have seen many interesting things, but our hearts are heavy for the people of Haiti. The YWAM vision is that this disaster is a great opportunity for the nation to turn to God. Please pray that people respond to God's call.
